Question: What is the wrap made of?
Answer: The wrap is constructed of 95% cotton/ 5% spandex.
Question: Is the wrap heavy?
Answer: At only 1.7 pounds, your wrap is very lightweight, and comfortable to wear.
Question: How can I clean the wrap?
Answer: Your wrap is machine-washable (cold water is always recommended), and can be either air-dried or tumble-dried (low heat is recommended) in most dryers.
Question: Can I use my new Baby Wrap with my newborn?
Answer: Absolutely. Since newborn children have yet to develop control of their heads and necks, extra caution should be taken to provide proper support (extending the wrap's material to cover the top and back of baby's head is an excellent way to do this).
Question: Can I perform my workout while babywearing?
Answer: This depends on what your routine actually is. Strenuous exercise, sporting activity, and the like is strictly prohibited while wearing your baby. Yet many mothers do engage in less-strenuous exercise, such as some yoga poses (Lotus, Mountain, Staff, Bound Angle, etc.). Simple squats and similar moderate activities are permissible. While running and power-walking are not appropriate while wearing your baby, walking or strolling at a casual, relaxed pace are good for both wearer and child. Always use good judgement!
Question: Can I bend forward while wearing my baby in the Baby Wrap?
Answer: Bending or leaning forward more than a slight degree is not recommended. A much better approach is to squat in order to reach something.
Question: Is the wrap warranted?

TIPS
- While wearing your baby, it is always better to squat when trying to reach something than to bend or lean forward.
- When squatting, place your legs at least as far apart as your shoulders are wide, and turn your feet slightly outward.
- If your baby seems to need more head support, but balks when you pull the folds over their head, try making a roll from the upper portion of the wrap right at the back of baby's neck.
- When babywearing, always remember to follow the "TICKS" mnemonic:
I=In view
C=Close enough to kiss
K=Keep chin off of chest (baby's chin and chest, not yours)
S=Support baby's back, neck, and head
- Always pay close attention to any cues that he or she is uncomfortable, or is having any difficulties, especially with breathing.
- In a randomized study by researchers Urs A. Hunziker and Ronald G. Barr (of the Department of Pediatrics, The McGill University-Montreal Children's Hospital Research Institute. "Increased carrying reduces infant crying: a randomized controlled trial", published in the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Volume 77, Issue 5, May 1986, pp. 641-648), it was found that babywearing for 3 hours per day dramatically reduced infant crying - 43% overall, and 54% during the later hours of the day. A carried baby is a happy baby!
- Get the whole family involved - any fit, able-bodied adult can easily master babywearing, and increase the beneficial effects of family bonding opportunities with your baby. This is an excllent way for your baby to become used to the voice, movements, and facial expressions of others.
- The convenience of using a baby carrier such as the Amazing Stuff For You! Baby Wrap - allowing for free use of your arms to perform various tasks, chores, and activities, such as taking care of the needs of older children - can provide many other benefits as well. Studies suggest that babywearing makes for a more content child, and being freed from frequent interruptions to soothe an unhappy baby can have an impact in reducing sibling rivalry.
